Not every skateboard we engrave is meant for the skatepark.
Some are meant to represent something.
This one is for us.
When we started Engraved Skateboards, the idea was simple. Take a skateboard deck, leave the wood as honest as possible, and carve a design into it that stays there for good.
No ink.
No stickers.
Just engraving.
A Deck That Represents the Brand
For this deck, we engraved our own logo.
Nothing complicated. Just our mark, cut directly into the wood. The engraving follows the natural grain of the veneer, which means every deck reacts a little differently.
Some grains are subtle.
Some are more pronounced.
The result is always slightly unique.
That is one of the things we love about engraving. The design is fixed, but the material still has its own voice.

Engraving Instead of Printing
Most skateboard graphics are printed.
They sit on top of the deck as a layer of ink. Bright, colourful, sometimes loud.
Engraving works differently.
Instead of adding something to the surface, the design is carved into the wood itself. The contrast comes from the burn of the laser and the natural tone of the veneer underneath.
It creates a look that feels quieter and more permanent.
Less like a graphic, more like a mark in the material.
When a Skateboard Becomes a Brand Piece
Once you start engraving skateboards, something becomes obvious.
Logos translate beautifully into wood.
Clean shapes, simple typography, strong symbols. The grain of the wood adds character without distracting from the design. Instead of sitting on top of the material, the logo becomes part of it.
That is where things get interesting.
A skateboard deck is a surprisingly elegant format for a brand. Tall, minimal, and instantly recognisable. It works in places where you would normally expect framed prints or posters.
We often imagine them hanging in:
-
shops and concept stores
-
creative studios
-
offices and meeting rooms
-
event spaces
Not as merchandise, but as an object that quietly represents the brand.
Something between wall art and identity.
Skate It, Or Hang It
Of course, it is still a real skateboard deck.
You could mount trucks on it and take it to the skatepark tomorrow. Or you hang it on the wall and let the wood and engraving speak for themselves.
Some decks are meant to be ridden.
Some are meant to be displayed.
And sometimes they manage to do both.
